Description
Luck is a 2022 computer-animated fantasy comedy film directed by Peggy Holmes, co-directed by Javier Abad, and written by Kiel Murray who co-wrote the story with Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, based on an original concept created by Rebeca Carrasco, Juan De Dios and Julián Romero. Produced by Skydance Animation, the film features the voices of Eva Noblezada, Simon Pegg, Jane Fonda, Whoopi Goldberg, Flula Borg, Lil Rel Howery, Colin O'Donoghue, and John Ratzenberger. Set in the Land of Luck, the story follows the unluckiest person named Sam Greenfield (Noblezada), as she must unite with an anthropomorphic cat named Bob (Pegg) to turn her luck around.
The project was announced in July 2017 when Skydance Animation was formed with Paramount Pictures distributing as the schedule for March 2021. Luck was subsequently green-lighted by Paramount Animation chief Mireille Soria in April 2018, with Alessandro Carloni signed on to direct the film, from a script by Aibel and Berger. The film since underwent many changes, such as rewrites, directors, and release dates, with Holmes was later announced as the new director. Much of the voice cast signed in January 2022, alongside the casting with Fonda and Goldberg in February and June 2021. Production was done remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Luck premiered in Madrid on August 2, 2022, and was released from Apple Studios on Apple TV+ and in select theaters in the United States on August 5, 2022. The film received mixed reviews from critics with praise for the voice acting and animation, but criticism for the writing, worldbuilding and plot.

කතාව ගලාගෙන යන්නේ මේ විදිහට. සෑම් ග්‍රීන්ෆීල්ඩ් කියන්නේ පොඩි කාලේ ඉඳලම තමන්ටම කියලා පවුලක් හම්බවෙයි කියන බලාපොරොත්තුවත් එක්ක ළමා නිවාසයක හැදී වැඩුනු අවාසනාව කියන දේ ඕනවටත් වැඩියෙන් තියෙන ගෑණු ළමයෙක්. ලෝකේ ඉන්න අවාසනාවන්තම ගෑණු ළමයා කිව්වත් වැරැද්දක් නෑ. සෑම් දැන් ළමා නිවාසයෙන් පිට වෙලා ගිහින් තමන්ගේම කියලා ස්වාධීන ජීවිතයක් පටන්ගන්න ඕන නියමිත වයසට ඇවිල්ලා ඉන්නේ. එතකොට එයාට තව දුරටත් ළමා නිවාසයේ ඉන්න නීතිමය අවසරයක් නෑ. ඒත් සෑම් නම් කැමති නෑ ළමා නිවාසේ දාලා යන්න. මොකද එයාට ඉන්නවා හේසල් කියලා යාළුවෙක්. හේසල් සෑම්ට වැඩිය ගොඩක් බාලයි. එයත් සෑම් වගේම තමන්ටම කියල් පවුලක් ලැබෙයි කියන බලාපොරොත්තුවෙන් තමයි ඉන්නේ. ළමා නිවාසෙන් යන්න කලින් සෑම්ට ඕන වෙනවා හේසල්ට වාසනාව අරගෙන එන දෙයක් හොයලා දෙන්න. මොකද එතකොට හේසල්ටත් තමන්ට වුනා වගේ ළමා නිවාසෙන් පිට වෙන වයස එනකන්ම පවුලක් නොලැබී තියෙන එකක් නෑ කියන විශ්වාසයෙන්. ඉතින් කතාව ඔය විදිහට ගලාගෙන යනකොට තමයි සෑම්ට බොබ්ව හම්බවෙන්නේ. ඉතින් මේ බොබ් කවුද කියලා චිත්‍රපටය නරඹලාම දැනගන්න කියලා මම ආරාධනා කරනවා. ඉතින් මේ සිනමා පටයේ අපේ ජීවිත වලට වැදගත් පණිවිඩ කීපයක්ම තියෙනවා. ඉතින් ඒ නිසා ඔයා ඇනිමේෂන් චිත්‍රපට රසිකයෙක් නොවුනත් කමක් නෑ, මේක බලන්න කියලා ආරාධනා කරනවා.
