Plot Summary
The story follows Oscar, a fast-talking, ambitious fish who dreams of fame and fortune. Working at the Whale Wash in Reef City, he’s always looking for ways to rise above his humble life and impress others, especially the beautiful but shallow Lola.
When Oscar accidentally gets credit for the death of Frankie, the son of powerful shark mob boss Don Lino, he suddenly becomes known as the “Shark Slayer.” This makes him famous overnight, but also puts him in danger.
Meanwhile, Lenny, Don Lino’s other son who is gentle and secretly a vegetarian, befriends Oscar. Together they hatch a plan to keep Lenny safe from his father’s expectations while helping Oscar keep up his shark-slaying image. In the end, Oscar must decide if living a lie is worth losing his real friends and who he truly is.
